Kolby has had a thing for coloring himself with markers lately. We were at the school the other day and he colored his arms and started on mine. Then these were from today...

Hope of America Award
We had received a phone call from one of Kara's teachers a week before the 6th grade awards assembly telling us that Kara would be receiving an award and encouraging us to be there. We didn't know what it was though. The morning of the assembly, the kids all wondered why Joe hadn't left for work yet. He told them he had an appointment. We headed over to the school after Kara left for the bus. The look on Kara's face was priceless when she walked into the gym. It was great to see her receive the award and receive something for all the hard work she has done this year. She had straight A's this year, except for 1 B at the beginning.
She will be in 7th grade next year and will have Kamille there as a 6th grader. I hope she can be a little patient with her younger sister and not give her too much of a hard time. She tried out for the select choir and made it as well.
